. There are two main categories of absorbent products:

Polypropylene-fiber-based absorbents:

This category is divided into 3 grades and is primarily available in 3 forms

. The available grades are
: - Absorbents for all types of liquids (usually gray in color)
—Absorbents for hydrocarbons (white or blue in color): these absorb only hydrocarbons but are hydrophobic and therefore do not absorb water
—Absorbents for corrosive chemicals (yellow)

: The available forms are
:- Sheets or rolls for absorbing a localized spill-
Booms for containing a leak and preventing the spill from spreading-
Pads for absorbing large quantities

Absorbent granules:

These are mineral or plant-based products with high absorbency, available in various particle sizes and levels of abrasiveness. The choice of product depends on the type of contamination to be absorbed and the surface being treated
