ADR-Compliant Metal Drums and UN-Certified Food-Grade Drums | SD Pack Metal Drums

Metal drums for hazardous or food-grade products. Metal drums are available with a open top design (removable lid + ring with lever) or with bungs (non-removable lid with 2' and 3/4' inlets for liquids). Metal drums are available with raw sheet metal or coated interiors in various formulations, including bisphenol-free food-grade coatings.

Metal drums can be certified for the transport of hazardous materials. Metal drums with open top lids have a certification code beginning with 1A2, while drums with spouts have an ADR certification code beginning with 1A1. Certifications are further distinguished for solid and liquid hazardous materials.

Some drums are also available with dual solid/liquid certification, making them versatile: Example: FM212OTADRL

Metal drums are also available with an inner polyethylene liner, particularly for corrosive products; these are called composite drums, with the UN approval number 6HA1/....

There are also metal drums known as “emergency drums” designed to contain leaking, defective, or uncertified packaging. Their certification includes the letter T: Example: 1A2T
