UN approved ADR pails are designed for the transport of dangerous goods. Most plastic pails are UN approved for solids. Steel pails are generally used for dangerous liquids, but are also often available with a UN approval for solids.
For steel pails carrying liquids, the most effective closure is the lever-lock closing ring, the same system as on open-head steel drums.
Steel pails are available unlined or with a lacquered interior. For UN approved pails carrying liquids, the vapour pressure of the product must also be taken into account. If in doubt, contact us.
