PRO fire blanket for electric cars: contain a lithium battery fire

The Car Fire Blanket PRO is specially designed to tackle fires in electric vehicles fitted with lithium batteries. At 9 x 6 metres and approximately 39 kg, it provides wide, effective coverage, ideal for emergencies that call for a rapid response. It is certified to the DIN SPEC 91489:2024-11 technical specification.

Silica P2 silicate fabric: up to 1,600 °C

Thanks to the Silica P2 technical fabric (silicate fabric with 96% SiO₂ and a high-temperature polymer coating), the blanket withstands peak temperatures of 1,600 °C and continuous exposure up to 1,300 °C. Its ability to contain flames and resist extreme heat allows it to be used in direct contact with burning lithium battery cells, to bring the flames under control and limit the spread of the fire. The fabric is classified A2 s1 d0 under EN ISO 13501-1.

The blanket is reusable in accordance with DIN SPEC 91489, provided it shows no visible damage after use, has not been in contact with chemical substances (engine oil, brake fluid, extinguishing water with additives) and has not deteriorated through direct, prolonged exposure to flames.
