Drum Pump with Pressure Plate

Lutz France’s solution for transferring viscous, non-free-flowing products:
In many industrial sectors (food and beverage, cosmetics, etc.) Products stored in drums are difficult or even impossible to extract by gravity or using a pump.
In such cases, solutions must be implemented to make the operators’ task easier and ensure production with these materials, which are essential for manufacturing.
For these applications, Lutz France has developed a pump system with a follower plate and an EC1935/2004-approved EPDM flexible seal, mounted on a cylinder, which easily transfers viscous, non-flowing products contained in drums.
It fits directly beneath the pallets where the drums are stored. A hydraulically operated cylinder raises and lowers the pump.
Another key feature of this system is its hydraulically operated drum clamping mechanism, which prevents the empty drum from being lifted when the follow-along plate is raised.
Equipped with four wheels, two of which are swivel wheels, this cart is highly maneuverable and stable. The anti-rotation system on the hydraulic column prevents the system from tipping over, even in the raised position. With its low height and width, it fits through standard doorways.
Optional empty-drum detection and drum-presence detection can be installed.
